As parents ourselves, we understand the importance of fostering emotional awareness in children. We initially encountered challenges when our child was reluctant to discuss their day after kindergarten, despite its significance. Traditional emotion diaries proved unsuitable since our child was unable to write yet, prompting us to seek alternative solutions. This led to the development of Feely—a concept that resonated immediately with families. We observed that visual representations of emotions through playful monsters combined with audio recordings significantly facilitated discussion and reflection.

Feely enables children to express their feelings and thoughts effectively. The vibrant visualizations of emotions through colorful monsters serve as an engaging method for recognizing and understanding feelings. The included audio recording feature allows children to narrate their experiences in their own words, fostering both emotional articulation and valuable insights into their inner world. Designed for children aged 3 and above, the app also allows parental participation, supporting interactive emotional development.
